We welcome everyone to Lakeview Elementary School. 

   On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Lakeview School for the 2008-2009 school year. Lakeview is the home for all of the 3 and 4^th grade students of the Coventry Local school district. One of the oldest facilities in Coventry, Lakeview has a rich heritage of superior education in a safe inviting environment. We strive to keep that reputation as we facilitate your child’s educational journey.

   The faculty and staff at Lakeview will guide your child to reach their goals. My name is Mrs. Paula Prentice. I am Lakeview’s principal for the 2008-2009 school year. I have been with the Coventry School district for over 30 years and have been both a teacher and an administrator. Along we me, your child’s educational journey  will be guided by a faculty of 30 highly qualified professionals and 10 support persons. As with any journey, it is important that everyone becomes involved. Family involvement and participation is very important.

   Our PTA is family oriented. They offer our children and families many fun activities during and after school throughout the year.  Through the PTA, you also may be involved in helping students directly by volunteering in the building and classrooms.  Please become a part of the Lakeview team by joining the PTA.

   Lakeview is proud of it’s WATCH  D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program that is in it’s 3^rd year at Coventry. This is a national program that encourages dads to become involved in their child’s education. You can get more information and sign up for a volunteer day at Open House or anytime during the school year.
